The maximum number of students to be admitted to the course is limited to 60, out of which 30 seats will be filled through Kerala State Entrance Test conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination, Kerala. The remaining 30 seats will be filled by the management as per the institutional norms based on merit. A candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary or Plus Two examination recognized by the Govt. of Kerala or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to by the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and has secured not less than 45% of the marks in the aggregate in such examination will be eligible to be considered for admission. For SC and ST candidates, the minimum marks required will be 40% in the aggregate. Candidates who have passed the qualifying Higher Secondary Examination from any other state other than the State of Kerala shall produce the Eligibility Certificate of the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam at the time of admission.

Miss Karthika Jaiprekash of our college secured highest marks in the First Semester LL.M.(Commercial Law) Examination of M.G. University conducted in October,2016.

Dr. Kanjana Kohom Bange ( Fingerprint Analyst from Sri Lanka ) gave a lecture on "Relevance of Fingerprint Analysis in Forensic Science " at CSICLS on 07-10-2016 .

On 6 th October 2016 , Prof. Rajkumar Sual from Nepal delivered a lecture at CSICLS on "Recent developments in the sphere of Intellectual Property Law ".

A seminar on the topic "Paristhithi Samrakshanam - Jeevante Poarattam " was conducted on 8th July, 2016. His Excellency Rt. Rev. Thomas K. Oommen inaugurated the seminar. Environmentalists and legal scholars spoke on the occation .

A Legal Aid Survey was conducted by the 5th semester B.A.LL.B.students in June, 2016 under the auspices of the LEGAL AID CLINIC of the college.

A one day Sensitization Programme on ' Cyber crimes " organised by CSICLS and the District Legal Services Authority,Kottayam was conducted on 10 - 02 - 2015.

Legal Aid Clinic and Legal Literacy Club of CSICLS were inaugurated by the District and Sessions Judge of Kottayam Mr.P.K.Lakshmanan.

A four weeks Internship Programme was successfully completed by our students with the assistance of ’ Rajagiri Outreach’, the professional service wing of Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, Kalamassery, Kochi.
