CSI College for Legal Studies, Kanakkary, Kottayam (CSICLS) is a self financing law college affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and approved by the Bar Council of India.

The courses offered in CSICLS are Integrated 5 year B.A.LL.B/ B.Com.LL.B programmes which require a regular study for ten semesters in a period of five academic years.The medium of instruction and examination is English.

The eco-friendly campus of CSICLS is located at Kanakkary beside the Ettumanoor –Ernakulam State High Way.

CSI College for Legal Studies is owned and managed by the CSI Madhya Kerala Diocese, a widely recognized educational agency in Kerala. The Diocese manages 149 educational institutions including 6 colleges.

The CSI Madhya Kerala Diocese has over 400 congregations in Kerala and 25 congregations outside India with an equal number of congregations in other States in India. The Diocese is the heir of a rich legacy in education coming down as it does from the days of the Christian Missionaries of the Church Missionary Society. The Missionaries opened the doors of liberal English education in Kerala.

Law engenders change. The making of Law and keeping of the Law are the unquestionable marks of good citizenship. CSICLS endeavors to train men and women in the discipline of law so that they become prophetic in their vocation by giving social justice the foremost honour and highest priority. The management envisages the College as a tool for social transformation.

CMS College, Kottayam

The CMS College, Kottayam is the oldest college and holds the record for the first college in India. It was started in 1817 by the CMS Missionaries in faith in God's purpose and providence, to be a centre of light and life in this land and a blessing to many. The Rev. Benjamin Bailey was the first principal of The College, Cottym, as it was then known, and the government of India welcomed the College as "a place of general education whence any demands of the state for officers to fill all departments of public service would be met"

Bishop Moore College, Mavelikara

Bishop Moore College, a premier educational institution at Mavelikara in Alappuzha districtict of Kerala was started in 1964 as a junior college offering two years pre-degree course of the University of Kerala. The CSI Madhya Kerala Diocese got this golden opportunity to uphold the great tradition of the Church Missionary Society in the field of education when the Bishop Rt. Rev. M.M.John, took the historic decision, responding to an announcement of the Kerala Government to start junior colleges in the state.

Bishop Speechly College, Pallom, Kottayam

Bishop Speechly College for Advanced Studies (BISCFAS), which started functioning on the lovely Buchanan Hills, Pallom, Kottayam in the year 2006, is a dream comes true for students and parents in this part of God’s own country who have a zest for excellence in higher education. The forty-acre Buchanan hillock has the entire fine ambience to provide nature's wholesome recipe for a rich educational fare.

Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara

The Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara was founded in 1960 in memory of the Rev. Joseph Peet, who was one of the leading missionaries, sent by the CMS to South India. He came to Mavelikara in 1836 not only to spread the gospel, but also to uplift the downtrodden. He was mainly instrumental in popularising education in the area. The college is governed by a council, constituted by the Diocese of Madhya Kerala of the Church of South India.The college is affiliated to the University of Kerala, accreditted by NAAC.
